Description:  Stainless steel pestles may be used to break open plant and yeast cells. They may be used for the resuspension of precipitated pellets. The pestle shaft measures 3.17mm (1/8") in diameter which may be hand held or mounted in a motorized grinder. The overall length of the stainless steel pestle measures 85mm (3.35") with a grooved 10mm narrow tip head for power grinding. Stainless steel pestles will last 20x longer than the standard teflon pestle.The stainless steel pestle is designed to fit 1.5ml microfuge tubes.
